My Kids and I

Christmas is always bittersweet for me for two reasons: Braden & Rayne, two of my children that are no longer with us. My girls wanted a picture of us in the SSMU/Sailor Moon style (yes, they are all fans of Sailor Moon xD), so I decided to do this today... and included my other two children. They are all wearing dresses of their choice, in their favorite colors.

From right to left, we have:
Harmony Claire - Purple dress, brownish-blonde hair, green eyes. She's one of the triplets (the other two being Selena and Melody). Four years old. Harmony is Latin and means unity, concord. Claire is the French form of Clara, and means clear, bright, famous.
Braden Clark - Dark blue. Braden was Alexandria's stillborn twin brother. He'd be four years old now. Braden is Irish and means descendant of Bradan. Clark is English and means cleric or scribe.
Veta Rayne - White dress, red hair, blue eyes. She was my first child, and was adopted by the couple that had the triplets. Continuing the tradition of the name Veta with firstborn daughters, I gave her that name, which is also my first name, as well as my mother's and her mother's. Veta is a variant of the Latin name Vita, and means life. Rayne is a variant of Raine, which is English for queen.
Alexandria Brooke - Light blue dress, blonde hair, brown eyes. She is Braden's twin sister, and is four years old. Her and Braden were my third and fourth children that I gave birth to; she is two minutes older then Braden. Alexandria is is the feminine form of Alexander, and is of English origin. It means defending men. Brooke is a variant of the English name Brook and means one who lives near a brook (xD).
Kiara Joy (me) - Red dress, reddish-brown hair, brown eyes. 27 years old. Kiara is Irish, and is a variant of Ciara (which is the feminine form of the name Ciar). It means black; dark. Joy is English for happiness.
Selena Gabrielle - Green dress, brownish-blonde hair, green eyes. One of the triplets, she is the middle one - six minutes younger then Harmony and three minutes older then Melody. Selena is the Latin variant of Selene, and means moon in Greek. Gabrielle is the French feminine form of Gabriel, and means strong man of god.
Ariel Rayne - Orange dress, blonde hair, blue eyes. My oldest, I was pregnant with her when Rayne died, she is six years old. Ariel is Hebrew for Lion(ess) of God. Rayne is a variant of Raine, which is English for queen.
Melody Kiara - Pink dress, brownish-blonde hair, green eyes. The youngest of the triplets, she was also named after me. <3 Melody is of English origin and means song; to sing. Kiara is Irish, and is a variant of Ciara (which is the feminine form of the name Ciar). It means black; dark.

The triplets - Harmony, Selena & Melody - were originally my goddaughters. I became their legal guardian when their mother died last year (their dad had died a few years prior). They were old family friends, and they adopted Rayne after she was born as I was a minor at the time and knew I couldn't handle the responsibility. So now I've adopted Melody, Selena and Harmony.
