WARNING: Below is my opinion. I live in the US. We have a thing called "freedom of speech". I am allowed to state my opinion, but I do not have to accept harassment, belittling or flaming because of said opinion. I also do not mean this as an attack, harassment, belittlement or flame on others. It is just how I feel, and I will not apologize for my feelings. I will also not apologize if the below is taken in a way I do not mean after having stated that is not what I am trying to do. With that being said, the fact that I even have to put a disclaimer on an opinion is ridiculous.

I will no longer be making SSMU dolls.

1. I don't like the community, and how impossible it is to be a part of it without getting chewed out for mistakes (even after you fix them). I understand people get tired of having to tell others the same thing all the time, but that does not give those people a license to be rude to every single person who made an honest mistake. I'm all for people telling me when I've made a mistake. But if you're being mean and rude about something - just no. No. You do not have to be rude to get your point across.

2. I am a complete newbie when it comes to dolling. My drawing skills are on par with my four year olds. I don't have the talent to draw bases or clothes or hair or whatever and have it come out looking good and polished and professional. I'm practicing, but I am far from being able to make my own bases. I've done clothes and shoes for my first six of my 100 doll challenge, but now it doesn't even matter, because I can't use them since the base is restricted now. So those six dolls that I have spent the last three weeks going over and over and over and trying to do as much of them by myself as I could with my skill level - useless waste of time. There is nothing to show.

3. Even if I was granted permission to use the base, I wouldn't use it. For many different reasons, none of which I will state here because I know however nicely I try to put it, I'd get harassed/bullied/flamed and I do not want to deal with that.

Those are the only reasons I have, but they are valid. This also means I won't be uploading any more templates in the future, UNLESS I get good enough to make my own base. If I can manage to make my own base, I will upload it and any templates I've made for it for others to use. Until then, you will not be seeing any more SSMU submissions from me.

I have left all the SSMU groups I was in. I have also stopped watching SSMU dollers. I am not proud to be a part of this community as it stands, and wish to not be associated with it.

After reading that, I can understand why you got fed up with the community, but in my opinion, I wish you hadn't given up, for several reasons.  I've been saving artwork from various artists over the years, and from what I've seen of yours, you should tell those that are/were criticizing every thing you were doing, instead of giving helpful feedback, and tell them to take their opinion and leave your page.  People like that, artists don't need.  I very rarely give anyone grief over their work, since I know that, at one point, my work was the same, if not worse, than anything they could do, and I had to learn from my mistakes.  If I tell someone something, like a trick I learned about MSPaint, it's not to make them think I'm thinking down on them.  Far from it, I'm trying to help them make their lives easier by using specific tricks, that I would know that work from trying them.  I hope one day, you might decide to start dolling again, but if you don't, I wish you all the luck on any project, be it writing or what-have-you, that you are doing.
